The PWS® s3 abatement series is dedicated to the filtration of emissions originated from combustion of virgin wood (chipped or in pieces), scraps from sawmill, carpentry and woodwork shops, scraps of building and old timber (furniture, packaging, sawdust, wood shaving, etc) and pellets. The main actors who compose the reference market for these filters are:- Planners, constructors, maintenance men, installers and administrators of heating and district heating systems fuelled by biomass.
- Planners, constructors, maintenance men, installers and administrators of biomass gas, wood gas, biogas and syngas combustion systems.
- Planners, constructors, maintenance men, installers and administrators of combustion systems fuelled by liquid biomass (vegetable oil and so on)
- Woodwork shops, sawmills, furniture manufactures, wood distributors who reutilise their scraps and wish to filter the emissions generated.
The advantages related to the adoption of a PWS® system are:
- Observance of law criteria for the emissions into atmosphere.
Observance of requirements for the obtainment of quality and environmental process certificate. In fact, the importance of the emission abatement is highly significant in all evaluation processes aiming at the certification of the company.- Resolving existing problems, or possible future problems, with regard to litigation with neighbours due to odours, dusts and soot.
- Compliancy to participate in local, state, European project proclamations with the possibility to obtain tax relief, funding and support because of the adoption of environmental protection technology.
Approval and customer retention among own clients: Great importance rightly attributed to the adoption of clean technology which respects the environment, also generates business income if adequately advertised. The advantages compared to other technologies are:
- Dimensions: The system is compact and limited to their absolute dimensions. Furthermore, it can be split or piled up so as to satisfy the most complex requirements.
- Sturdiness: The standard system is built entirely with AISI 316 (if necessary, tougher material can be used), also there are no internal parts which can be broken or damaged from traction, compression, and wear and tear in time.
- Reliability: designed for 24h/24h operation, the PWS® is to stand up to fatigue. In addition, the absence of physical filters (downtakes, films, filling casing…) means minimum maintenance requirements, no periodical replacements are expected, no blockage, no clogging, no simple increase of load loss.
- Low cost: due to limited energy consumption and very limited consumption of wash liquid (closed circuit), for previously described reasons, the Assegenik system is inexpensive in terms of purchasing cost as well as maintenance requirement.
- Effectiveness: the PWS® technology is characterised by its effectiveness on many molecule categories. Therefore, besides the dusts, on which the effectiveness level has exceeded 90% in many occasions, the entire compounds families are abated or greatly reduced. This characteristic also applies to odours.
- Innovative character: the PWS® technology is a recently introduced technology and yet to fully demonstrate the potential it may possess. Many parameters can be managed and the use of special wash liquid allows us to optimise the odour load reaction to liquid acids.
The process of PWS® abatement uses fluid and gas mechanics while maximising the contact surface of fluid/pollutant. Thanks to an extremely optimised reaction time, speed and pressure levels, it is possible to abate DUSTS, NITROGEN OXIDE, SULFUR OXIDE, AMMONIAC, PHENOL and other molecules linked to combustion processes. Whether they are small boilers with few hundred kW or large thermal plants with more than 5MW with necessity to abate emissions, the PWS® technology abatement system can be dimensioned to reach the desired target level without problems. An adequately dimensioned system can in fact allow you to guarantee the OBSERVANCE OF LEGAL LIMIT.
